We are delighted to announce that a senior member of the Department for Transport (DfT) is to attend and speak at our April meeting. It is very difficult to secure meetings with DfT officials and so we would encourage you not to miss this opportunity, as it will be hard to get them to attend again.
The date is Monday 23rd April at 7pm with Rudgwick Parish Council hosting the event at their parish hall off the A264. They will give a talk on the current National Policy Statement and take questions from the floor. This is your opportunity to ask questions directly of the decision makers; those that make the decisions that the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and airports follow when it comes to airspace, the modernisation of airspace, noise, night flights, noise abatement procedures, etc.

October Meeting
NATS (airspace designers and air traffic control) are looking to invite us to air traffic control in Swanwick this October/ November. More news to follow in due course.
The NMB Reduced Night Noise Trial
As you will be aware from the last newsletter a workshop is being held on the 14th March to discuss this trial. CAGNE has produced a paper for your consultation and input please.
LAMP 2 – modernisation of airspace
From the recent NATS presentation it would seem that they are planning to liaise with airports over airspace below 7,000ft in June 2018. We will ask for more details from GAL. Please see presentation attached.
